2017 AFS Birmingham District Chapter Scholarship
In order to qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must be attending or planning to attend a university in the Birmingham District of the AFS, which cove
rs Mississippi, Alabama, and west Georgia, in
order to pursue a career in the foundry industry.
Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded based on the completed application, essay, and letters of reference. Please request your letter of reference by
February 15, 2017
to allow time for letters to be written and submitted. Online application and letters of reference must be received by
March 1, 2017
