March 2015

3/18/2015

Hello Birmingham Chapter;
I trust that you have all had a great beginning to 2015 and are settled into the year. My year as chairman is coming to a close quick!

If you missed the February meeting, you missed a real treat. I’ll be the first to say that I’m not a big fan of travel meetings. I’m a creature of habit and I like repetition. But, I was blown away by the accommodations and attendance at the meeting in Columbus, GA. The Country Club was very nice and the food was outstanding. The speaker, our very own Mr. Boyd, was exceptional as well. I hope we get to host more meetings in Columbus.

Speaking of traveling, the Southeast Regional Conference is approaching fast. The deadline for
early registration has just passed and April 8th will be here before we know it. If you haven’t
made plans to attend, I urge you to put this conference on your schedule. Not only will it feature
great golf, but the speakers promise to be informative and networking opportunities will abound.
Please contact Jarek Olszak or myself if you need more information.

Rick Walsh has put together a great program for us for the March 9th meeting at the Wynfrey Hotel. We will be learning about filtration 3D simulation. That’s a mouthful, but we should all go away with a little extra knowledge. I hope to see all of you there!!
